MTC-2AI : MTC Dual Analog Input Transmitter

Overview

The MTC Series is a range of low cost Telemetry Controllers providing a licence exempt wireless link capable of simple control and monitoring tasks. Their ease of use and numerous features make them ideal for adding simple wireless control and monitoring to any application requiring wire free operation.

  • Supply Voltage: 7 to 28VDC. A 12VDC or 24VDC supply is suitable.

  • Enclosure: Extruded aluminium with mounting flanges.

Repeater Option

The operating range of a link can be extended by use of a single repeater hop that is in line of sight between the transmitting and receiving unit. A repeater can also help in getting around obstructions that can otherwise block the RF signal such as hills, drop offs (down to a river) or wooded areas. An input unit or output unit can be upgraded to become a repeater and that unit can still function as a standard unit. Only a single repeater is recommended per installation (ie; don't order each unit in a system as a repeater).

Analog Input

As standard the MTC-2AI unit is supplied defaulted to 0-20mA input. Internal user configurable links allow the user to change the input to either 1-5V or 0-5V. Access to the internal links is made by carefully removing on of the end plates and sliding the PCB out. After changing the link settings for one or both channels, reverse the disassembly procedure to reassembly the unit.
